Rachel Tester, soprano
Rachel Tester, Soprano, is honored to perform as a soloist in Beethoven’s Mass in C Major with the City Choir of Washington. A dedicated performer in the Washington, DC arts community for over two decades, Rachel has performed on prestigious stages including the Music Center at Strathmore, Wolf Trap, and Lincoln Center.
As a member of The City Choir of Washington since its inception in 2007, Rachel serves as a Soprano section leader and has long been a part of City Singers, the choir’s outreach and engagement ensemble. She also embraces her musical theater roots as a member of Mini-Musicals on the Move, a nonprofit dedicated to sharing classic musical theater through interactive concert productions.
Rachel is a classically trained vocalist with a BA in Vocal Performance from Shenandoah University and an MA in Arts Management from American University. Beyond the stage, she works as an equity compensation manager and enjoys life in Northern Virginia as an avid reader, outdoor enthusiast, cat mom, and amateur photographer.
