KAREN JOHNSON
As a soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician, Karen Johnson’s playing has been applauded for its “balance and precision”, as well as her “enthusiastic showmanship of impressive energy and accuracy” (Washington Post) and her performances hailed as “virtuosically energized and broadly lyrical” (Richmond Times-Dispatch). In a review of a solo CD (Brioso Records) with pianist Joanne Kong, the American Record Guide stated, “It is a real pleasure to discover a violinist of the caliber of Karen Johnson… Her tone is broad and pure, her attacks are flawlessly incisive, her vibrato nicely modulated, and her intonation infallible…”
Lysle S. FOLLETTE, IV
Baltimore-born baritone Lysle S. Follette, IV is rapidly emerging as a versatile and expressive young artist whose voice bridges cultures and captivates audiences. He began performing at an early age, singing his first solo at the age of three, and by sixth grade, had already toured Europe with the Jeremy Winston Chorale and the Central State University Choir.
HEATHER ADELSBERGER
Heather Adelsberger maintains an active career as a keyboard artist and conductor in the Washington, D.C. area. She holds an undergraduate degree in Piano Performance from the Catholic University of America and a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano from the University of Maryland. Heather currently serves as Director of Music Ministries at Grace Episcopal Church in Silver Spring, MD where she oversees a vibrant, intergenerational music program and concert series. Heather is the Artistic Director of the Georgetown Chorale.
ERIN FREEMAN
Versatile, engaging, and spirited, conductor and artistic leader Erin Freeman is the Artistic Director of the City Choir of Washington, Director of the Saint Louis Symphony Chorus, Artistic Director of Wintergreen Music, and Principal Conductor of the Richmond Ballet, the State Ballet of Virginia. She recently concluded successful tenures as Director of the award-winning Richmond Symphony Chorus and Director of Choral Activities at Virginia Commonwealth University.
