Crystal Mosser, “Marian the Librarian”
Crystal Mosser Anderson, a versatile performer originally from Lafayette, Indiana, holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music from New York University. Her distinguished career spans musical theatre, opera, concert performance, and advocacy, marked by a dynamic vocal range and compelling stage presence.
Theatre credits include Fannie in WANTED (formerly Gun & Powder), set to debut on Broadway next season, as well as acclaimed performances in Grand Hotel and Billy Elliot at Signature Theatre. She earned a Broadway World Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her work in F#@king Up Everything (Woolly Mammoth Theatre/Capital Fringe) and joined the standout productions of Candide and The Boys From Syracuse with Shakespeare Theatre Company. Crystal also originated a role in the innovative new musical Chasing the Wind at Arena Stage.
In New York City, she has graced stages ranging from Playwrights Horizons’ Atlantis to New York City Opera’s Car Crash Opera, and delivered a show-stopping “Glitter and Be Gay” solo in the Skirball Center’s Leonard Bernstein Tribute. Additional NYC highlights include King David Revival (Skirball Center) and Paint Your Wagon (McGinn/Cazale Theater).
Regional engagements feature headlining roles in 9 to 5 (Coastal Carolina Center for the Arts, Beef and Boards, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center), Xanadu (Mason Street Warehouse), The Marvelous Wonderettes (Seven Angels Theatre), The Stephen Schwartz Project (Hanesbrand Theatre), The Great American Trailer Park Musical (Penobscot Theatre), and Phantom (Mac-Haydn Theatre).
Additional highlights include being named to the “40 Under 40” list by the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce for her artistic impact and community leadership.
